VeinTrain gives healthcare organisations a governed training model for venepuncture, phlebotomy and IV Cannulation. Instead of training one person at a time, you standardise practice across teams through structured learning, simulation and supervised local sign-off, with VeinTrain as your specialist provider and framework partner.

The pathway runs Learn, Train and Scale. Learn builds individual knowledge and skill, Train develops your own trainers, and Scale is the organisational route. HALO is how organisations adopt the model across whole services while keeping local accountability local.

This work grew from the challenge of teaching these skills across whole systems from the early 2000s, leading to published authorship, national competency work and practical implementation across services. VeinTrain was built for scale because the problem is bigger than one classroom or one course.

Our approach combines a strong core standard with practical localisation, so training can be delivered consistently while still reflecting the needs of the organisation, service, country or setting. We adapt to your policies, rather than asking you to bend your governance around a fixed course.
