Traditional training methods require practitioners to travel to urban centres, which also leaves their communities without healthcare coverage. Many remote areas in CAR and Afghanistan have limited transport infrastructure, making regular training visits impractical so our flatpack solutions, sending in virtual trainers reaches clinicians where they area and reduces the need for logistics management and the associated costs.
Clinical procedures require hands-on practice, but traditional distance learning can't provide the tactile experience necessary for skill development. VeinTrain online skills lab works well with Gencode and Stempaths mobile lab set up. We will be live online and have large event days less frequently. We have decades of experience of online, hybrid and in person events for up to 200 delegates.
Healthcare workers need to:
Ensuring consistent skill levels across diverse geographic locations presents unique challenges:
VeinTrain's approach addresses these challenges through an integrated system combining:
Founder and CEO Sarah Phillips is a published author and national competency lead who has specialised in venepuncture and cannulation since 2000. She has been immersed in the world of veins for decades and developed the flat pack training tool to bring all of this together, reducing complications in one of the most common and problematic procedures globally.
"From my experience working in Chelsea and Westminster, to recent leadership transformation roles at the Integrated Care Board, to supplying Guy’s and St Thomas’s and NHS Manchester Integrated Care Board, to now reaching the most remote areas globally, we've seen how proper training transforms health and care delivery,"
Sarah Phillips, CEO
"It's about empowering healthcare workers to serve their communities effectively."
The initiative launches in early 2025 with ambitious goals. Sarah Phillips will fly out to South Africa Halo Centre to develop a plan that will allow the vein system to be optimised for the complex situation in CAR. Early Stakeholder engagment to co-design the training implentation is crucial. Thankfully the system has built in training needs analysis so we begin with Trainers and work with them and the Halo Centre lead to make the best use of our solution.
