Evidence currency

Five streams keep the library current:

  • Trusted clinical foundations — established guidelines and standards.
  • Recent conference intelligence — learning and themes drawn from current vascular-access and clinical conferences.
  • Newly published papers — peer-reviewed and pre-print research.
  • Expert professional networks — specialist clinical and educator input.
  • Trainer and implementation feedback — reflective practice from real delivery.

2. Governed evidence process

  • Source register — numbered IDs, public-use status.
  • Source notes and summaries — structured, source ID retained.
  • Theme extraction — grouped by clinical and educational theme.
  • Evidence cards — recent, checked and source-linked.

3. Truth source — the VeinTrain LIVING Evidence Library

Recent, checked and source-linked evidence, maintained through governed evidence and intelligence work.

4. Human-led governance and local adaptation

Materials are adapted by HALO Centres to suit local policy, supervision, scope of practice and employer competency sign-off.

Source checking, adaptation and training governance remain human-led through VeinTrain, HALO Centres and approved trainers. AI supports; humans govern.

5. The library informs — six output channels

  • Online Skills Lab — continuous content updates.
  • Trainer guidance — briefings and updates.
  • HALO Centre adaptation — local material refresh.
  • Practical session materials — workbooks and prompts.
  • Knowledge Hub content — articles and briefings.
  • Vein to Action — practical implementation, the destination of the vein.

6. Implementation learning feedback — the vein stays live

Reflective practice from sessions feeds back into the workflow. Organisational intelligence is applied through partners and real delivery. Implementation feedback flows back into evidence currency, and the cycle begins again.

Source notes

  • Source IDs are retained so themes, claims and outputs can be traced back to their original material.
  • Materials are adapted by HALO Centres to suit local policy, supervision, scope of practice and employer competency sign-off.
  • Conference references are sources of intelligence only and do not imply endorsement by WOCoVA, GloVANet, AVA, IVTeam or any conference body.
