Most VeinTrain trainers are healthcare professionals with direct clinical experience in venepuncture or IV cannulation. The programme is designed for practitioners who have moved into training, education or management roles and want to deliver high-quality, standardised clinical training within their organisation.
Once you have completed the programme and met your employer's local competency requirements, you will be able to deliver VeinTrain-standard venepuncture and IV cannulation training within your own organisation. Your organisation's policies, scope of practice and local competency processes will determine what you can deliver and to whom.
No. A VeinTrain certificate documents your training and learning completion. It does not replace your employer's local competency sign-off, supervision requirements, scope of practice, or relevant policies and procedures. You remain responsible for working within the frameworks set by your organisation and professional body.
Both packages lead to the same VeinTrain trainer certification. The Standard package includes the core Train the Trainer programme with coaching support. The Accelerator package includes additional 1:1 coaching sessions and is designed for trainers who want more personalised guidance. See the programme pages for current pricing and full inclusions.
You will need access to vein simulation equipment. VeinTrain recommends using HALO-approved training equipment to maintain standards. Simulator requirements and recommended equipment are covered during the programme. Contact us to discuss your organisation's specific setup.
VeinTrain's live practical sessions are delivered via Zoom, which we have found to be the most effective platform for practical clinical training delivery. You will also have access to the Online Skills Lab and Structured Learning Programme resources. Contact us if Zoom is not available within your organisation and we will discuss the options with you.
Support varies depending on your chosen package. All trainers receive access to VeinTrain learning materials and programme documentation.
