Extending clinical skills training across several sites requires decisions about content, trainers, assessment and ongoing support. A shared plan helps each site understand what should be consistent and which responsibilities remain local.

Six questions before extending delivery

1. Content: which curriculum and version will each site use, and who approves updates?
2. Trainer capacity: who will teach, what preparation do they need, and how will their delivery be supported?
3. Local assessment: who supervises workplace practice, records assessments and authorises independent practice?
4. Assurance: how will programme owners review delivery across sites and respond to concerns?
5. Continuity: how will new starters join and existing staff access any agreed refresher provision?
6. Feedback: what will each site report so the organisation can identify implementation problems and review the programme?

Plan for each setting

Sites may differ in staffing, clinical activity and available supervision. Agree the common learning requirements alongside a practical local delivery plan. A course certificate does not replace employer or clinical organisation competency sign-off under local policy and scope of practice.
