VeinTrain FlatPack simulation vein with a cannula on its training pack

When an organisation joins VeinTrain’s HALO deployment model, onboarding includes agreeing how training will operate locally. Venture Next’s working planning figure is around ten weeks from agreement to an operational centre, with the actual timetable agreed for each organisation.  We are able to scale to 3 million per week.

This does not mean training resources are unavailable during that period. VeinTrain is designed to support rapid deployment, but the pace depends on the scale, logistics and complexity of what the organisation needs.

Rapid deployment and local implementation

For individuals, small groups or organisations with existing training infrastructure, access can often begin very quickly. iVein Rapid simulator models and existing learning resources can be made available without waiting for a new programme to be designed from scratch.

For larger teams, product changes, incidents or organisation-wide rollouts, rapid deployment is still possible, but more coordination is required. Stock needs to reach the right person, team or site. The correct simulator models, devices, products and learning resources need to be matched to the local requirement. Trainers may need additional support, and local governance, supervision and employer assurance may need to be aligned.

The limiting factor is not usually whether VeinTrain can move quickly. It is whether the organisation has the right arrangements in place to use the training safely, consistently and effectively.

What needs to be aligned

Preparation may include the delivery model, equipment and simulator arrangements, Train the Trainer where required, and the local governance processes that sit alongside learning and assessment.

Some organisations initially need only simulator models and existing learning resources. Others begin with the veins and then identify that additional support, video content, certification pathways or implementation planning would make delivery easier for trainers, learners and the wider organisation.

VeinTrain encourages early discussion where training is needed soon. Starting earlier gives time to agree what is required, move stock to the right place, match the learning resources to the organisation’s needs and avoid unrealistic assumptions about what can be delivered at short notice.

Product supply, learning resources and HALO support

The simplest route is product supply. VeinTrain can provide simulator models and existing learning resources for organisations that already have their own trainers, governance and competency processes in place.

Where more support is needed, HALO can bring together education design, implementation planning, Train the Trainer, certification options, video resources and organisational support.

Organisations can use VeinTrain resources alongside their own online learning, local videos or internal competency processes. Existing VeinTrain content can also be adapted where appropriate, reducing the need for organisations to commission expensive new video builds from the beginning.

Packages are shaped around the organisation’s requirements. Examples may be provided to help planning, but they should not be treated as fixed promises for every organisation.

A planning figure is relatively easy and predictable for our training leads

The ten-week figure is a working expectation for moving from agreement to an operational HALO centre. It is not a contractual service level, a promise for every centre, or a delay before any training can begin.

The timetable depends on the agreed scope, existing infrastructure, trainer readiness, equipment requirements, stock movement, payment arrangements and local governance.

Where a faster start is needed, an earlier target can be discussed against the organisation’s requirements and available capacity. Any accelerated timetable needs to be agreed before it is relied upon; no particular package, fee or method of acceleration is implied here.

Intelligence Hub support

VeinTrain has built up more than a decade of learner, trainer and implementation experience. The Intelligence Hub helps organisations draw on that knowledge when planning rollouts, responding to incidents, improving training or strengthening governance.

It is an implementation support asset. It does not replace local clinical leadership, employer assurance or governance, but it can help organisations ask better questions, plan more clearly and make more informed decisions about training and deployment.

What needs to be aligned

The preparation includes the delivery model, equipment and simulator arrangements, Train the Trainer where required, and the local governance processes that sit alongside learning and assessment.

A VeinTrain certificate records the training or learning activity specified on it. It does not replace local competency sign-off, supervision, scope of practice or employer assurance.
