Is this aligned with national competency expectations?

Yes. VeinTrain is led by Sarah Phillips, a published author and national competency lead for venepuncture and cannulation. Our competency booklet and programme reflect the structure used across NHS Trusts and universities.

Do I get a certificate?

You receive a Certificate of Attendance plus your competency booklet for supervised workplace sign-off. Competency must always be demonstrated in real clinical settings.

Is VeinTrain trusted in the NHS?

Yes. VeinTrain supports NHS Trusts, Integrated Care Systems, community services, private clinics and international partners. We work at scale with organisations such as GSTT, CLCH and long-term independent providers.
