HALO UK deployment explorer
HALO · Learn, Train, Scale

From the global network to a hospital near you

Follow the journey through an interconnected system: the global HALO ecosystem, the UK, England and its NHS England regions, the 36 Integrated Care Boards, then a chosen board, its legal provider organisations and their hospital or service sites, and finally organisation-specific deployment planning. Nottingham and Nottinghamshire is shown as a worked example.

⚠ Demonstration values are synthetic and organisation-level. No individual learner data is shown.

    How the system fits together

    Four different things, kept separate

The statutory board, the legal provider, the physical site and the service type are distinct. A team is not necessarily employed by the organisation that owns the building it works in.

    Statutory ICB
The legal commissioner for an area, for example NHS Nottingham and Nottinghamshire ICB.
    Provider organisation
The legal body that employs staff and runs services, for example an NHS trust.
    Physical site
A hospital or building, for example Queen's Medical Centre. One provider can run several.
    Service type
Acute, community, mental-health or diagnostic services. Attributed to the provider actually responsible.

Training, evidence and sign-off are not the same

Organisation-level layers by default. Every value shown in this explorer is synthetic demonstration data.

    Training completion
Learning activity completed. It shows participation, not skill.
    Verified skill evidence
Observations verified by the organisation's own assessors under local policy.
    Organisational sign-off
The employing organisation's decision, under its own governance, scope of practice and supervision rules.

Also shown: supplier or device family and stock or readiness, at organisation level. A VeinTrain certificate documents completion of learning. It does not replace local employer competency sign-off, supervision or scope of practice.

    Governance

Before any named learner or contact data is used

    Required first

    • A lawful basis for each purpose
    • Transparent privacy information for learners and contacts
    • Role-based access, limited to what each role needs
    • Controller and processor decisions agreed and recorded
    • Data-sharing or processing agreements in place
    • Retention rules agreed
    • Security review completed
    • Authorisation from the employing organisation

    Not done in this explorer

    • No email harvesting
    • No automatic marketing consent
    • No real names or email addresses
    • No contact imports
    • No individual learner records by default
Data ownership. Learner data is not owned by VeinTrain, a supplier or a salesperson. It is handled under the employing organisation's governance, the agreed controller and processor roles, and learners' own data rights.
No endorsement. This is an illustrative VeinTrain demonstration. Nothing here means that NHS England, any Integrated Care Board, NHS trust, hospital or supplier has commissioned, approved or endorsed VeinTrain or this explorer.
